INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (IPL)

How does it work?

HAIR REMOVAL

The IPL hand piece emits pulses of light into the hair follicle. The light is absorbed by the pigment at the base of the hair follicle destroying the cells that produce the hair. This will permanently inhibit the hairs growth and after each treatment the hair will come back thinner and lighter. Eventually destroying the hair bulb entirely.

Will IPL Hair removal be effective for everyone?

It is not recommended for very dark skins. Best results are achieved by fairer skins with darker hair as a contrast is required between skin and hair colour with the hair being the darker of the two. Therefore lighter blonde, grey and red hair does not always achieve optimal result.

SKIN REJUVENATION

The Pulsed Light is absorbed by the skin encouraging collagen production and capillary circulation while also helping to balance skin tone and erase sun damage.

PIGMENTATION

The Pulsed Light heats the pigmented lesions (age spots and other pigmentation), and disables the deformed cells that produced them. Spots will appear darker as these cells rise to the surface. The skin will naturally shed these cells over the next two weeks.

How many treatments are needed?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the client. An approximate of 6 treatments will be discussed in the FREE initial consultation and quotation will be given.
